We’ve sold calendars for over 5 years and each year my order gets bigger. I’ve spent time letting my customers know they can get the best selection and the best price. They come back year-after-year.

1. Order early Pre-order your first assortment of calendars from Bullseye by March in order to ensure up to a 99% fulfillment rate for your Fall sales.
2. Get a good selection Most customers don’t go out shopping for calendars, they buy calendars while they’re out shopping! A good assortment of titles will keep customers looking at your calendars longer, increasing the opportunity for purchase.
3. Don’t over-purchase Whether you’re a first-time buyer or a veteran, don’t over-purchase calendars. Unlike books, they’re perishable. By January we want you to be thinking of ways to sell more Bullseye calendars next season, not cussing us because you bought too many this season.
4. Split the shipment To help you get discount calendars on the floor as soon as you can we can split your order, shipping some titles in July/August and the remaining titles in Sept/October.
5. Actively Market As soon as you can, far in advance, start telling your customers that you’re going to have top-quality calendars at a discount price, early in the season. Bullseye allows you to compete with the big-box retailers and big bookstore chains on calendar price and quality. Take advantage of that!
6. Have a nice, prominent display. Whether you have loads of display space, or cramped quarters, display is key. You can sell as much as $2000 retail or more from as little as 33 square inches of floor space. Use a spinner rack for full-cover facings, tables with boxes of calendars spine-up for customer to flip through, or a cascading display. Regardless of your space constraints, the more titles your customers can see the better your sales.

7. Use Signs In the window, on the display, at the counter…Use signs! Lots of signs! Colorful signs! Tell your customers that your calendars are a steep discount from retail and that you’ve got a great selection.

8. Buy Dog Breeds Most everyone who owns a dog likes to talk about them or see photos of them. Bullseye Calendars offers a wide selection from multiple publishers! Some are hard, or inconvenient to find. Make no mistake, Dog-breeds are a great way to get calendar traffic to your store but this idea only works if you have some additional space to accommodate the 110 dog breeds we sell. The best way is to stand them up in boxes alphabetically with a sign on the front of the box stating “Dog Breeds”. We can pick the top 50 breeds which would require approximately two 12x12 boxes for a quantity of 2-3 of each breed. To display all the breeds, you would probably need 4-5 boxes. And, if anyone will remember where they got that special calendar and come back for more, it’s a dog owner!
9. Price them right Bullseye’s best customers put calendars out on the floor in August at some discount from retail: 10%, 25%, often it’s as much as 50%! Then they sell calendars for six months or more at a discount. You know your clientele and margin requirements best. Bullseye calendars let’s you be creative with your pricing and comfortable with your profits.
10. Keep it up Follow these tips and like most other Bullseye customers you’ll be increasing your calendar sales (and your seasonal profits) every year!
